Summary
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen
) is recalling certain 2018 Audi
TT Roadster, TT Coupe, A3 Sedan and A3 Cabriolet vehicles. The fuel hose quick connector may detach from the fuel supply line in the engine bay, resulting in a fuel leak.
Remedy
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will secure the fuel line connection, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 20, 2018. Owners may contact Audi
customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen

Problem Description | The underhood fuel supply hose quick connector may not be securely attached to the fuel supply line. There is a risk that the fuel line may open at the quick connector, which may cause fuel to leak into the engine compartment. Leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire. | |||
Corrective Action | Inspect the affected fuel line connection. The guiding sleeve will be removed and a tension test will be performed to assure secure locking. | |||
Precautions | Customers who notice a fuel odor in the vehicle are advised to contact an authorized Audi![]() | |||
Parts Information | No parts will be needed for this repair. | |||
