Summary
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Long Wheelbase and Jetta vehicles. Bolts may be missing from the front seat tracks.
Remedy
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front seat tracks and, as necessary, install the bolts, free of charge. The recall began February 18, 2021. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen’s number for this recall is 72L6.

Section B – Seat Track Bolt Inspection
• Both front seats must be inspected.
• Move the seat all the way back and adjust seat to its highest position.
• Check for missing bolts at the ends of the seat motor bracket <1> in areas shown .
• If bolts are missing:
o Install new bolts as needed and torque to 24 Nm.
o Proceed to Section C after installing new bolts.
• If no bolts are missing:
o No further work is required.
o Proceed to Section C.
• Fig. 1 shows example of missing bolt .
• Fig. 2 shows example of installed bolts at one end of seat motor bracket <1>.
• Both ends of the seat motor bracket must be inspected.
