Summary
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022 R8 Spyder and 2021-2022 R8 Coupe vehicles. The gearbox may have an insufficient amount of transmission oil, which can lead to clutch slippage, and in certain driving situations, a transmission oil leak.

Check if your Audi has a Recall
Issue:
The gearbox in affected vehicles may not contain a sufficient volume of gearbox oil. If this condition is present in the vehicle, it might lead to clutch slip, thus interrupting the power transmission between the gearbox and engine. This could result in a temporary loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, when operating the vehicle in a racetrack environment, this issue can possibly lead to generation of oil foam that could exit through the breather valve and create the risk of a fire.
Repair:
- REPAIR AVAILABLE – April 15, 2022 – Check and, if necessary, adjust gearbox oil level.
- See ELSA/ServiceNet for complete repair & claiming instructions
- Check daily campaign open inventory report or OMD for affected vehicles in inventory
- Repair every affected inventory vehicle before delivery to consumers.

UU.
