Form No. F_3.4_AHQ-GQO-CP-C_060 Rev.3.0 47T2 USA IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL Volkswagen of America, Inc. 3800 Hamlin Road Auburn Hills, MI 48326 This notice applies to your vehicle: , NHTSA: 22V718 Subject: Safety Recall 47T2 โBrake Lines Dear Volkswagen Owner, This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Volkswagen has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2023 model year Volkswagen vehicles. Our records show that you are the owner of a vehicle affected by this action. What is the issue? A brake line may leak at the threaded connections. After the reservoir of the potentially affected brake circuit is completely depleted, the brake pedal travel may begin to increase or the pedal may begin to feel soft. What will we do? To correct this defect, your authorized Volkswagen dealer will replace the affected brake lines. This work will take about a day to complete and will be performed for you free of charge. Please keep in mind that your dealer may need additional time for the preparation of the repair, as well as to accommodate their daily workshop schedule. What should you do? Please contact your authorized Volkswagen dealer without delay to schedule this recall work. To set up an appointment online, please visit www.vw.com/find-a-dealer. Precautions you should take Affected vehicles can continue to be driven as usual, but if the brake fluid warning light illuminates, or if the brake pedal travel increases or feels soft, customers are advised to contact the nearest authorized Volkswagen dealer or qualified workshop without delay in order to have the vehicle inspected/repaired.
